I have a thing about invasive species (my sister is a specialist in invasive biology and its effect on local ecosystems) so this an interesting bit of innovation, a mobile agricultural robot that can automatically weed. It makes use of onboard infrared cameras and image processing software to distinguish between the good stuff and the evil weeds, and is able to yank out the latter for most crops grown in rows.
