The ARCAM EMB S400 is a new rapid manufacturing and prototyping system that makes 100 percent solid metal parts. Utilizing a new technology based on Electron-Beam Melting (EBM), this highly efficient system produces parts from titanium powder three and five times faster than other additive fabrication methods. An additive process can generate geometry and features unobtainable wtih a traditional CNC, such as closed pockets and multi-axis undercuts. The EBM material, a titanium, provides high strength and high temperature resistance.
