From Fortune Small Business comes this article about PRstore, a franchise business that provides PR services (logos, press releases, etc.) to small businesses. Although individual franchises are located throughout the US, all the creative work is completed in a central office in Charlotte, Nc.
It's an interesting model that might apply to design one day. Not every business needs, or knows how to purchase, highest quality design. Smaller businesses might be likely to purchase from a lower cost national brand. If it can work for graphics, why can't it work for 3D also?
