This article from the Boston Globe highlights a few innovation firms that use online global networks to focus the power of thousands of minds on challenging problems.
Firms such as InnoCentive and yet2.com have attracted clients such as Colgate-Pomolive and P&G. But do they work for both the client and inventor?

Other consulting marketplaces, such as Guru.com and ProSavvy are know for flooding their clients with unqualified proposals and consuming an inordinate amount of time from consultants.
